This May, LAMMA is celebrating its 40th year. It’s the UK’s largest agricultural machinery, equipment and technology show, and we’re all pretty excited to attend the farming community’s most popular annual event.
It’s a chance to get away from your daily routine, see what’s new, and get some ideas to improve farm operations. But with so much to see and do, it can be pretty overwhelming – especially if you have never attended before.
Here are four tips to make the most out of your visit to LAMMA 2022.
1. Before the event: Prebook visits with exhibitors
There are over 600 businesses exhibiting at LAMMA 2022. Many of these exhibitors will be offering new and exciting products which will make your farm operations safer, faster and more profitable. However, you’re not going to have time to visit them all in one or two days.

We recommend reaching out on social media to prebook meetings with companies who are exhibiting. This is a great way to schedule your time, send any preliminary enquiries or questions, and gives these organisations an opportunity to make sure there is someone dedicated available to help with your enquiry when you are at their stand.

2. Follow exhibitors on social media
Many businesses will be using LAMMA 2022 to make new product announcements, run competitions, and showcase their customer successes. Social media is a great way to keep on track of all this. If you’ve got a shortlist of businesses you intend to meet on the day, follow them on LinkedIn or Twitter. This will give you an insight into what is happening on their stand and when you should pop by.
3. Follow #LAMMA22
It can be tempting to spend the whole day browsing the latest tractors, but there’s a lot of equipment and tools required to keep these tractors and other vehicles in top condition, to keep the farm healthy, and improve site productivity.
Follow #LAMMA22 on Twitter for announcements from exhibitors and attendees.
Wheelwash Ltd provides Bootwash and Agriwash systems which help to prevent site contamination and diseases such as Avian Influenza, African Swine Fever, Hog Cholera, PRRS virus, and AMR.
4. Stay connected with people you meet at LAMMA 22 using LinkedIn
Exhibitions such as LAMMA are a great way to connect with a community of like-minded people. You can use social media to connect on the day by using the LinkedIn “Find nearby” feature. Here’s how:
1) Enable Bluetooth
2) Go to ‘My network’ in the LinkedIn mobile application
3) You can then browse people who are in a 10 metre radius. When you speak with someone, you can add them on LinkedIn with a message.
No need to carry business cards or swap emails and phone numbers on the day.
