The worst outbreak of avian influenza in history

More than half a million birds died during last winter’s outbreak of Avian Influenza.

The disease is every poultry producer’s worst fear. Confirmation of just one case will trigger a cull of the entire flock.

Improve your biosecurity

DEFRA regulations specify that poultry farmers must put in place appropriate biosecurity controls to prevent the spread of the disease.

One of the requirements is to clean and disinfect the wheels and wheel arches of any vehicle at the entrance or exit to a site with live bird areas. However, manual vehicle disinfection systems put the site at risk of human error.
